We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the CUPRU MIN CONFERENCE, which took place on May 20-22, 2024, in the picturesque town of Abrud, Romania. This event provided a unique opportunity to showcase the GoldenRAM’s innovative research and development work in the fields of mining, sustainability, and geospatial data.

Highlights from the Conference

The conference featured a series of insightful presentations, each delving into critical aspects of the GoldenRAM project:

  • GoldenRAM Project Overview: Presented by Marko Paavola from VTT, this session provided a comprehensive introduction to the GoldenRAM project, outlining its objectives, uses cases, and technologies with anticipated impacts on the mining sector.
  • Romanian Use Case Insights: By Mircea Goia, Ioan Bud, and Dorel Gusat, who shared expert perspectives on extraction of copper ore and the capitalisation of the copper ore and other precious metals within the Romanian site.
  • Presenting the GoldenRAM Platform: Ivan Kapustin from OPT/NET demonstrated the architecture, roles and functionalities of the GoldenRAM platform, highlighting its innovative features and how it can enhance efficiency and sustainability in mining operations.
  • EFTAS Partner Presentation: Sebastian Teuwsen from EFTAS showcased their contributions to the project.
  • Securing the Database: Principles and Practices for Protecting Geospatial Data: Ovidiu Cosma and Dorel Gușat from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca discussed essential principles and practices for safeguarding geospatial data.
